After joining the B.P.R.D. in 1984 as a consultant, Kate Corrigan Joined Hellboy in a mission to the European village of Griart to investigate mass murders commited by possible werewolves. An expert in folklore and the occult, Corrigan is said to have written sixteen books on the subjects, and can utilize the information to deduce the nature and weaknesses of many a supernatural foe.
She has since been promoted to special liason to the "enhanced abilities" department (those with superhuman abilities), consisting of Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Johann Krauss and Liz Sherman.
