The Joes have the MOBAT, Mauler, Equalizer, Patriot-Grizzly, and various mobile artillery pieces at their disposal. Despite its seeming technical prowess, I never felt that Cobra really had something similar (apart from the Crimson Guard MOBAT repaint). Cobra's primary armored vehicle, the HISS, was really more of a sentry/patrol vehicle and never seemed to be a true "tank" that could take on other armored vehicles on equal terms. Thus, when I saw the Corps tank at Wal Mart, I figured that with a little modification and repainting, it could be made into a Cobra tank that could take on the likes of the Mauler and MOBAT on equal (if not superior) terms.

Enter the Cobra Decimator... In a step away from the more outlandish armored vehicles Destro and MARS Industries were famous for, they created a practical, reliable heavy tank to fill a critical gap in the Cobra arsenal. Intended for both long-range tank-on-tank combat and close-quarters infantry support, the Cobra Decimator comes with a 120mm auto-loading main cannon mounted in a 360-degree rotating turret, 4 TOW anti-tank missiles, two 50 caliber machine guns, and seating for a crew of 3 (commander, driver, gunner/navigator). Sporting a massive engine, the Decimator can reach speeds up to 90mph on flat terrain, making it faster and more maneuverable than most armored vehicles in its class. It truly gives the Cobra forces a vehicle that can "decimate" the GI Joe's armored columns.
