Head: ARAH Gristle cast
Chest/Back: Comic Pack Stalker
Arms: '83 Airborne
Waist: Comic Pack Duke???
Legs: '83 Tripwire

Design:

Hasbro only produced one figure of General Flagg, Sr. It was a poor attempt at a dress uniform topped with a bad head made during the comic packs of the early 2000's. So lousy, in fact, that I didn't even try to salvage the undersized head sculpt for a custom. When General Flagg appeared in the early Marvel run, it was almost always in a dress uniform, so we never got to see what he looked like in mission gear. Hawk was technically the field commander, but there must have been at least one mission where Flagg ran the show on the ground. Other than the Clark Kent-esque head, I stuck with mostly early ARAH parts to help the figure have the right feel of the era. The Stalker chest/back blends in with the first wave of ARAH figures, and the jackboots add a bit of regality to the figure.

Colors & Paint:

A utility green, close to the feel of the original '82 lineup. The early artwork often showed Flagg's eyewear to possibly be sunglasses instead of regular glasses. The lone ARAH figure also painted them as sunglasses, but it didn't look right. Regular glasses fit the character better, so light blue was used as a stand-in for clear lenses.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The head is a cast of the ARAH Gristle head. The spit curl, sideburns, and pony tail are removed.

Thanks for looking.
