Night Fighting Guiles, 1993 Firefly heads

I know, Hasbro created their own Shadow-Vipers during the 2000-2002 era. I used the name first (not that there's much I can or would do about it).

These guys were the result of a comparison of design. I noticed that the mesh design of the 1991 Snake-Eyes vest was a match for the mesh on the helmet of the 1992-93 Firefly. And thanks to the 1993 recoloration of Firefly, and the Night Fighting Guile incarnation of the Snake-Eyes body, they were both available in black. The Guiles were easy enough to come by thanks to a K*B clearance at the time. The Firefly figures less so, but I eventually rounded them up. I originally dubbed these Cobra's stealth troopers, but following the 2006 Convention Set, I've revised their backstory a bit, especially since I couldn't quite get around the fact that they all looked like Firefly.

If Destro can have his Iron Grenadiers, and Zartan his Dreadnoks, and Major Bludd can have his Skull Squad, then why shouldn't Firefly have his own army of followers as well? Hence the Shadow-Vipers, his own cadre of highly-trained stealth, infiltration, and sabotage troopers. I even created a specific insignia for them (see second picture), which if I had the technological know-how, I would certainly like to stamp on their arms.
