File name: Carpi
Birthplace: Sector 1995, Planet Ventorus
Primary Specialty: Alien Scouting Party Leader
Secondary Specialty: Navigator
Carpi was assigned by the Lunartix armada commander to make contact with the alien sleepers residing on Earth as part of their pre-invasion scouting mission. Unfortunately for him and his party they were detected by NASA's long range scanners dropping out of light speed. By the time they landed on Earth they were ambushed, captured, and brought to Area 52, a highly top secret, undisclosed location.
During the interrogation, Agent K and Agent Nada were able to confirm suspicions that the Lunartix empire fleet consisted of 30 ships with multiple carriers and attack cruisers along with fighter squadrons. As it turned out Carpi was not an experienced spy or soldier. Rather he was a simple navigator chosen because the Lunartix didn't believe Earthlings would pose any threat. The united Earth scientists were also able to examine his weapons and armor to find weaknesses.
This guy was way, way different on the drawing board. He almost had Greedo's body, minus the vest, but in blue and silver like the rare Snaggletooth. The head was going to be way more like Team Venture's Otto Aquarius', complete with fish fin mohawk. He was essentially a homage to the old science fiction space aliens.
I liked the design but it just didn't click with me. There was nothing exciting about it and I almost scrapped the custom entirely. Instead, I started working on a ray gun, pulling the features I liked the most from pictures online and ones I had as a kid. The hand grip guard and transparent barrel was based on the rifles from V. The top and rear mounted power source came from the Super Soaker squirt guns. The foregrip/laser sight was kind of like the scope to a Gobots rifle I had. Finally, the "hair dryer" body was perfect for the Cable/Deadpool meets Flash Gordon and He-Man look I wanted. I liked the ray gun accessory so much I went to the fodder drawers and put together a more armored body for it. The head was a place holder for something I was going to sculpt.
