Although the majority of telecommunications is achieved by low-orbit satellites, in many regions it is necessary to have "relay stations" to receive signals from satellites and to transmit it to troops nearby on the ground. The Cobra Soundwave does this and more. It features multiple crypto units to insure the security of transmissions, advanced aggressive jamming technology to cripple the opposition's communications, and state of the art anti-jamming routines to prevent lose of information. The Cobra Soundwave also carries a compliment of Televipers, in addition to it's operating crew. This compliment can act as roving relay stations as well, passing information from the Cobra Soundwave, through their backpack receivers, to troops in the field.
