Received a large envelope in the mail today. On it was a label with a very business-like logo that read MARS Incorporated.

For a split second, I wondered why Destro's armaments company would be contacting me... 8-O

Just for clarification, the MARS in question here is the M&M's/Mars candy company. I recently purchased a bag of "Fun Size" 3 Musketeers bars, and as I reached the end of the bag, a metal bolt fell out of it! 8-O I was unhurt, but I did contact the company, which was obviously concerned. They sent me a mailer to return the thing to them, and $20 worth of coupons good for any M&M's/<ars candy product. Time to go find the jumbo bags of M&M's and Skittles! :-D

Anyone else flash on the Simpsons episode when Bart swallowed a spiked ball from a box of Krusty-O's?

No?

So just me then?

m'kay...

Yeah I was in Phoenix this past weekend for my girl's dance competition and the whole drive there and back I kept spotting the Target signs along the highway, wondering if I could get away with a detour to hunt for the new battle pack (didn't get to stop). Seriously, we passed like 4 or 5 and I couldn't help wondering if they had the pack in stock. All weekend I was plotting and scheming ways to sneak away and go hunting but alas I was thwarted.

So, yeah I know what you're saying.

Other than the fact that, when my wife asks me if I want to go run errands with her, I base my answer on how close said errands will bring us to any place I could possibly find joes, no.

Quoted for absolute truth. I've even caught myself using too much toilet paper just to finish that last roll so we have to go shopping. But that's not what you're talking about though right? :shifty:

I bought some tomato sauce from Walmart once an when I poured it in the pot, I heard a metallic thud as the last of it poured in... I wasn't sure if I was just hearing things, so I checked and sure enough, there was a metal magnetic tipped half a thumb sized piece of something in there, lol. I didn't want to take chances so I threw it all away and washed the pot and started over.

I guess I cold have made a stink about it and sued WM for millions of dollars or what not, or hid the piece in one of my turds and said I ate it and got real sick and then sued them, but I hate people who do dumb stuff like that, so I just saved the can, threw the stuff away and when I was there again I told them that when I opened it something was wrong with it and smelled bad and aske dif I could get another can and swapped it out.

On another note, I do think I customize in my head a little too much when I see a new toy or figure, almost a "what can I do to that" kinda thing, lol

Ummm... That was part of their new promotion: Build an Assembly Line. The bolt was the last piece I needed to have a complete set, too. :(

As to the topic, I'll catch myself thinking or saying something Joe-ish at times when it just barely fits, but my mind twists it to work there. Not to the point of suspecting packages, but I know what you mean.

Jeez, you're going to make me feel guilty about sending it back.

Except I wonder about that poor maintenance guy at the plant looking under every piece of machinery wondering where this went...
