Okay, so the people have spoken, and I have heard you. You wished for better boots on Mirage, as well as less bulky goggles... Well, I give you the new, improved (hopefully) Mirage!

Bio: Code Blue is/was the first Cobra Marine. His code name was chosen because he said that a 'Code Blue' indicates someone may be dying in a hospital... Well, he says that when he is on the battlefield, there is an even greater chance that someone will be dying!

A former US Marine, Code Blue lost it when he returned from a tour in Afghanistan to find his wife had left him, his former business partner had put him into bancruptcy and was now his wife's fiance, and that his home was in foreclosure. After beating his former partner to a pulp, and tying his wife to a chair to make her watch as he did so, Code Blue fled to Cobra Island, stowing away on a cargo ship that was heading there. When he was discovered in the ship's hold, a half dozen Blue Shirts attempted to beat him and toss him overboard; the last anyone heard, those six were swimming through shark infested waters, trying to get to the island themselves!

Code Blue was able to get an audience with Cobra Commander, who was intrigued that a US Marine (although a fugitive) would be inclinded to join up with Cobra. After verifying his story, Cobra Commander granted Code Blue assylum on Cobra Island, telling him that he could make it his home, for a price: he would have to train Cobra Blue Shirts to be a new force, the Cobra Marines. Code Blue agreed, and has been answering to the Commander directly ever since.

When asked about Code Blue, Major Bludd has this to say: "This mate is one of the most heartless men you'll ever lay eyes on. He seems to get a thrill out of bashin' people's heads... I guess he's a lot like me!"

First of all, I like that you have these two in the 'vs' capacity. It reminds me of the Muskrat/Voltar 2pack from back in the day, and then the new sculpt 2 packs.

I like everything about Code Blue except for the name. Personally, I am not a fan of code names that reflect a command (ie naming a Navy Fighter Pilot 'Bolter')...

I like the design, the mods, and the paint apps.

Love the Mirage. A very grounded update.

You could call the Code Blue, something like Blue Krait, if you want to keep a snake themed naming system.

Really liking both of them - excellent job on the camo. How'd you do Mirage's lower legs - are those modded Iron Man lowers?

Really like Code Blue's look. Like DarkJedi, I'm not sold on the name. I was honestly expecting a medic.

Yep, Mark II's... Hollowed them out and slid them over the Rampage lower legs. Unfortunately, I ended up having to thin the bottom of the leg slightly to get the shin guards on... I had hoped to make them removable.

The only critique I can offer aside from "Cool!" is that Code Blue needs a belt of some kind, ther than that, these 2 are awesome!

code blue is nice besides the spytroop shin guards, too big

I know, but that is why I have the one picture without them... They don't have to be on him. I would like for the Star Wars figures to have the same leg articulation as the Joes and (most) MU figures... They have some nice sculpts, but unless I want to go heavy on cutting and melding parts, it is unlikely I will use them too often...

Much improved Mirage. I like. A lot.

Code Blue- theres much to admire with this. Great bio, and overall great figure.

But theres 2 things that bother me. First the name. I agree that it doesnt really fit. I like the suggestion of Krait.

Second- Id rather he had an exposed face, to reflect his named status, rather than just a generic masked head.

I think it would add another level of personality also, to accompany the bio.

Good news: the shin guards are removable! ;) Seriously though, I had my doubts about them, too, but went with them just to have him kinda size up to Mirage, without having to hollow out another set of lower legs (although I am not opposed to doing so, it just wasn't in the time frame I allotted my self for this custom).

So far as the eyes go, they were the only thing on the head sculpt that I didn't paint... Funny, they seem to have a very intense look to them, which is what I wanted...

I agree with you on this... The waist is in need of something, so I will have to look to see what I have available before he is deployed (via ebay)...
