In the Conan story, King Conan of Aquilonia is defeated and deposed by an alliance of rebel Aquilonian nobles, the Nemedian army and the resurrected Necromancer Xaltotun of Python. Imprisoned in Nemedian King Tarascus'' dungeons, a slave girl from his seraglio, Zenobia, helps Conan to escape. After finally regaining his throne and defeating Tarascus, he claimed the former slave girl as his own and made her his Queen.

Figure: MU Kitty Pryde

I am not finished with female figures from the Conan Mythos yet. Three done, and a minimum of four more named characters to go.

I have one or two I would like to do, but to make them properly would cost a small fortune. I had thought about making a mad scientist lab last year, but I priced out all the bits I would need and it came to about $120. There is another I have had planned for a couple of years, but it would need a board 5 foot by 5 foot to make it properly, and it would be extremely heavy. Just not got the storage space. Another would cost about $60 just for the walls and floor.

So much detail and the soft goods are to cool, another fine addition mate, you're on a roll.

Maybe just make a small dio like a shoe box for starters :-/

Nicely done friend, and I especially like the way you did her shoes and accents.

Would you consider painting her face to match? Or a touch more brown(about six drops) in the flesh paint to match the Kitty Pryde flesh, which is difficult I know.

Been getting some accents off of the Schleich Egyptians that were discontinued. When I removed all the accents I wanted, I noticed that they sported some great gold bangles and Turquoise arm rings. Man, what an adventure it was to slice them off, bore them out with an old Fiskar's hand crank hobby drill.

Jbyrdd, I have a little something "shoeboxy" planned for my friend here, since he has been seriously generous with our Conan sharing. Just have to get the two other promises out of the way, and a good round of eye clarity. ; )

Wow.

Impressive enough as a design realized, but knowing you started with MU Kitty Pryde makes it that much cooler.

I think you could do a small inner harem slave tent (mostly fabric) or dungeon (carved styrofoam) pretty easily. You need to talk with Cap about finding some cheap materials. Start looking at it from sets you can use over and over again for dioramas. Oh, and a pile of skulls.

That is the problem. I live in England. Prices on craft materials go from 2/3 again to over double what you pay in the USA. Even if I ordered from the US, the postage would make things worse.

I am alos very OCD when it comes to doing this kind of thing. If I think about making a dio, I do extensive research first, pulling multiple pictures from books, films and teh internet. I then start looking at materials. If I see something really good, that is what I would use. I would never settle for a cheaper material, as the finished article would not be what I am capable of making, and I would not be happy with it if I cut corners. Just the way my mind works.
