  • This section is for honest critique of the work shown here. Members are encouraged to give and accept non-confrontational constructive criticism as well as adoring praise and everything in between.
  • In order to show case everyone's work equally, please post multiple customs on the same day into a single thread. If you have a lot of pictures of your work you may have to add them to a separate post within that thread.
  • Please do not link to a sale thread or to eBay from your critique thread. This section isn't to be used to market your finished work. The Market Place section is better suited for that purpose.

I am only calling this "Ultimate" because its based on Ultimate Duke. I am, however, very happy with it. I was a little worried that the web gear was too busy, but I think it looks alright. I may do another Dusty with a much sleeker look in the new year. Tried some drybrushing on this one as well.

Let me know if there are ways to improve.

you should make an AK for him too. some of the battlefield pick up Ak's they find over there are awsome!

I dig it too man. Nice job on the weathering, and I like how you made it all look so cohesive. I look forward to the sleek version too.

If I were to suggest any one thing to maybe improve it even 1% more, it might be to paint the hair to be something other than the Steve Rogers comic-book yellow. Since you did everything else in gritty and real, the hair stands out for me a bit.

(also, it would give you one more reason to work on a wash and knock out a new year custom goal early ;) )

Agree 100% on the hair. I'm gonna practice the washing a bit before I go for it on his hair though, seeing as everything I have washed so far has been ruined. But I will do that before final pics are taken and before he is posted to the gallery.

You've really improved your dry brushing. That is a fantastic paint job that really brings out the elements in all the parts. Great work.

If it had brown hair and a boonie hat it would have a Crosshair vibe to it. Looks great.
