hmm... These cigarillos aren't Cuban...

A Tank?!? I'm going to have to fire... make that send a few elves to counseling to make up for that error. At least it runs on environmentally safe rechargeable batteries...

Next year, I would implore you to leave me gluten free cookies and coconut milk.

Well, I could try the flying polar bear this year, but they use up so many seals to get through the night. The Reindeer remain the most fuel efficient, so...

So yeah. I started this custom last year after I saw a post on FB (I think by BadAsh) with Hipster Santa, and decided to try it. Of course it took me a year to finish... but Merry Christmas!

I just googled 'Hipster Santa' and it was the first pic. Someone must have seen it and posted it to Facebook.

If a big yellow toy tank is wrong, I don't want be right!

I'm sure the motorcycle runs on recycled vegetable oil.

The inspiration being a meme type picture is hilarious. I really like this, great sculpting.

It is a cool figure in it own right but the concept of it would put right at home carded for retail sale at Archie McPhee. http://archiemcpheeseattle.com. Which reminds me, I have some Joe scale rubber chickens I have to work into a custom someday (I believe they're from that store).

No scarf, no flavored free trade caffeine beverage, no smart phone? You Santa, fail at hipstering. :D

which reminds me - ideas for the scarf? I struck out and didn't want to delay this another year... Smart phone is easy enough. Besides, it's in his messenger bag

For the scarf, MU Ms Marvel sash or scarf if you have one. But it might be easier, quicker and cheaper to just use a piece of tape (plumbers, painters).

What about wired ribbon? I think it was Cap that had shown a skirt made out of it many months back.

Even if it was like 1" wide ribbon if you used a (really) hot knife perhaps you could cut it into a 1/4" wide by 2" strip. Hot to melt/seal the edge of the material so it doesn't fray. Wire so that you can get it to set better on the figure.

solid ideas.

I did try the Ms. Marvel scarf. didn't look the way I'd want, but also ran into the problem of the neck on that A-Team figure being crazy low. I mean, I can mod it, if I don't have a better idea I guess.

Cut a piece of an old T-shirt, for the scarf. It's course enough to pass for knitted at scale, and it doesn't tend to fray. It's easily glued to itself with just about anything, including that Modge Podge you say you use for clear coat.
