I asked danielb some questions about these :

Why start the AltFSS before the cub FSS? Why did you make these characters? Why did you decide to lead the AltFSS with them? What are the base figure parts? What parts are modded? How did you make the little periscope? What's the ratio of fox vs otter in the figures? the card? the bio? How soon will the next one(s) arrive? Also, btw, that card is super quality -

I didn't know when the club was shipping, i had been told it would be november.
I lead with these two for a variety of reasons, Sneak Peek is the only figure going directly against a club release, he is essentially an LBC, just with more thought behind his design and in how the character would function in general. The Cadre is basically how i use range vipers. So up dating a range viper into a sensible outfit with a more modern approach to their concept was fun for me. Plus the two play off of each other, for the most part I have a small vs. Story in my head for all of the pairings. With a larger story in my head for the set.
SP is all 50th 3 pack grey viper, with a starwars head and updated gear. RV Cadre is renegades ripcord torso and upper arms, retaliation joe trooper legs, and poc recondo lower arms, with a custom sculpted head. And gear..
I want all figures to have a unique head, and as many underused parts and accessories as I can . While at the same time utilizing certain basic parts that can and should be used more often.
Other than neck socket mods on SP he is all pretty basic, RVCadre has a sculpt and cast head.
The smaller periscope is a big ben machine gun barrel with scope bits attached. The barrel has pegs so it was just a matter of adding holes to the scope bits, and gluing them onto the pegs.
As for the ratio, fox did the card back design, i did the card art painting. Fox sculpted and cast the RVC head, i did the rest.
The next two could ship next monday, but i will try to stick with the clubs schedule.
and a couple of brief additional notes:

[SP] I actually cut gear from his original design. I wanted to do a brief case with a little drone, but it was just sooo much stuff with him. [little periscope] it should be tough, melted and glued -- the lenses are on pegs not just loose. [big periscope] yeah the big one is j mans ...i think it works for what it is
