This is a 1983 Buddy L Power Drivers ATV It originally came with a three inch figure but has tons of room for ARAH figures. I picked it up at Value Village for 1.99. I love it's funky retro SCI-FI look, It also reminds me of something George Barris would have made back in the day. I am a big fan of his crazy wild show and TV cars. If your not familiar with his work here's a few you might have heard of. The Original Bat Mobile, Kitt, The Adams Family car. The Monster Mobile. Christine, my personal favorite The General Lee. Other notable cars include the Wagon Queen Family Truckster, Ala Kart and so many more. The guy is an absolute legend in the automotive world. His career spans over 60 years, his cars look like real life Hotwheels.

This has been done for awhile now and it's a bit of a preview to my next week long special that will feature a retro SCI-FI theme. I added Cobra ATV tires and a Hiss 2 gun on the roof. At the back it had a switch that made it go forward and reverse, so I covered that up with styrene then I added a storage rack. I wanted to have the side doors open but I had such a hard time with the sticker glue and getting the canopy to fit properly I just gave up. The canopy was all clear blue so I masked off what I thought should be the windows and painted the whole thing. The hardest thing I made was the tiny clip on the front that holds the canopy shut. It took quite a few tries to get it to work perfectly, but now it does. It's a pretty big change from how it looked to start with.

Even without comparison pics, it's clear you made a vantastic custom! The color choice, clean lines on the canopy, & sticker placement are all excellent.

With its similar profile, I could see the Hustleback being a kind of HISS support vehicle operated by a team of tech- and tele-vipers, but the overall look is so versatile its potential roles are limitless.

Looking forward to seeing the retro sci fi feature.

Has a original BSG/ Mega-Force vibe to it. Love the Cobra version though. Nice find.

It's like a HISS and the APC had a baby. Great job.

Came out nice. I think if I came across one of these I would want to make it an AT vehicle.

Thank you very much. I hope I can get everything done for my sci Fi week.
