I had a v1 Storm Shadow that was pretty beat up, yellow to the point
of almost being brown, broken thumbs, missing 1 leg, and didn't want it
to go to waste. I came up with the idea from other people's 'Red Ninja'
customs, and decided that I wanted to do something similar, and created
my own.
While customizing, I started thinking about how much of a shame it was
that Storm Shadow was now a Joe, and Cobra lost a cool villian. I decided
that if Storm Shadow was going to stay a Joe, then Dr. Mindbender could
just use a small sample of Storm's DNA that was used for Serpentor and
create a new version of Storm Shadow, hence the name Tempest. During the
cloning process, Mindbender used his mind control devices to instill a
whole new set of morals into his new creation, making him a keen and deadly
adversary for GI Joe, and utterly loyal to Cobra. |
