FLINT
Battlecorps Ranger

Parts Used - Hardball head & legs, Pathfinder arms, Repeater torso, Roadblock (‘86) waist, Night Viper gun

Flint sure would have been busy in 1995!  Ninja Commandos, Battle Corps Rangers, and who knows what other special teams Hasbro would have wanted him in.  This version of Flint is pictured in AFN&TR's 1994 special convention issue.  He is shown only in artwork form, along with fellow Battle Corps Ranger Footloose.  Whether or not either of these figures had molds made, or whether any hard copies were produced remains unknown.  The Battle Corps Rangers would have marked GI Joe's return to realism, while Cobra would have become an even weirder entity.  In addition to Footloose and Flint, figures
were also planned for Duke, Dr. Mindbender, and the Baroness.  At least two hard copies of the Baroness figure were created, one at 8 inches and another at the regular figure size of 3 3/4".  With this fact in mind, it is possible that the other figures made it further than the initial artwork stages.

Personal Notes: Darn!!  Hasbro just HAD to go and cancel the Joe line before this figure was released.  Flint is one of my personal favorite custom figures, and I feel he would have made an awesome addition to the line.  No neon colors.  No outlandish gear.  Just a straight-forward army figure with a realistic look.
Should the new GI Joe line be successful, I hope Hasbro will consider giving this figure a chance once it moves beyond simple re-releases.
