ROCKYG.I.Joe Trivia Time - in the mid 1980s, Hasbro was planning to release a celebrity member of G.I.Joe - Rocky Balboa from the United Artist's Rocky films. He even appeared in G.I.Joe Order of Battle #2 - with a rendition done by Herb Trimpe and a filecard written by Larry Hama. But our favorite raw-egg drinking boxer never got to join G.I.Joe. Apparently, negotiations fell through, and in G.I.Joe Order of Battle issues #3 and #4, a retraction was printed thatThe character of Rocky Balboa (Code Name: ROCKY) was incorrectly included as a member of G.I.JOE, in The G.I.Joe ORDER OF BATTLE, Issue #2 on page 10. ROCKY is not and has never been a member of G.I.Joe. Yeah, right. The conspiracy runs deep, Scully... The head is from a Street Fighter Guile action figure - with the hair sanded down a bit. The chest is from Road Pig, the arms are from a regular Street Fighter 2 Guile, the waist is from Quick Kick, and the legs are from Topside. For his all-important boxing gloves, I took them from Big Boa.
