Father Slyther was once known as Professor Peter Lachinde, archeologist for the vatican, professor of the occult. While going through the vatican "basement", he uncovered a book that was not part of the bible. Through reading this book he learned of the Order of the Serpent, a group that believed that the "snake" in the bible was actually there to help mankind and that they were to cast out for having acute knowledge of Gods devine plan. Father Slyther Believes that Cobra Commander is the reincarnation of the "snake" and with the good fathers knowledge of the black arts, nothing can stop them.
