KURIL was raised on the same islands he is named for. A place of extremes, he trained in cold water diving during the harsh winters there. He enlisted in the army and found success there, though he misses his small island home. Though he does not like to speak of it, he is 1/8th Japanese after his paternal grandfather had a child with one of the Japanese citizens he was supposed to be evicting after Russia invaded the islands in World War II.

This was an extremely fun build. I was messing around with a diver concept when I got bummed that the Torpedo vest didn't fit on any of the guys I had. But then, I decided to glue it on! Using a cuticle cutter, I cut off the keychain holder on his back and cut the chest piece until it was small enough to look feasible. The Zartan 2002 legs were well turned into this instead of what he was before. What an ugly shade of brown he was! I had success with Saw Viper legs for another diver character I should post on here as well.
