Blood has always been a highly valuable asset to Cobra. While he was once in charge of Cobra's ground troops, Blue Shirts and Vipers, after they showed up Cobra Commander placed him in charge of a newly created unit of the Alley Vipers. This new group of Alley Vipers were recruited from the very men Bludd fromerly led, however unlike the standard Alley Viper Corps these were not the best of the best, they were the men and women who hadn't quite made the cut.
