Para-Vipers are converted Alley Vipers to the Cobra Air Corps. The para in their name comes from the Paradise Tree Snake known for gliding from tree top to tree top over 100 meters at a time and ofter falling all the way down. What makes them special is the fact the often fly the stolen vehicles of the Cobra Air Corps. These vehicles often include anything from U.S. Army Blackhawks to G.I.Joe Skystrikers.

To become a Para-Viper you have to be pretty crazy. Not only do you come from the insane family of the Alley Viper pool, you then take crash courses in flying several Cobra vehicles and any other stolen vehicle laying around, LITERALLY! Of all the Vipers who begin Para-Viper training, only 35% actually become Para-Vipers. And the other 65%? Lets just say 65% is also the destroyed vehicle total for the program!
