One of my few original characters, Rinkhals was one of many warlords grabbing for power in Africa through exceptionally cruel and illegal tactics. He was also one of the few successfully ousted by U.S.-led NATO forces. As such, he swore revenge.

The Crimson Twins gave him the means to seek that revenge as the field commander of their elite Cobra forces.

On the rare occassion that those forces are actually called into battle, it is Rinkhals who calls the shots from the turret of the Seigies' lead Hi.S.S. tank. And his precision with a specially modified RPG launcher is truly frightening to behold.

His deal with the twins is that he will serve them unquestioningly until Cobra's plans for the overthrow of the U.S. government are successful. Then he expects Cobra to back his bid for a return to power in Africa.
