A former Air Force test pilot and astronaut, Steve was seriously injured in a crash landing. He lost both legs, his right arm, right eye, and nearly died. Using cybernetic technology, doctors rebuilt Steve, replacing his lost or damaged body parts with bionic replacement. His bones and connective tissues were enhanced to allow full use of his cybernetic potential, giving him vastly superior physical abilities.
