Shooter is the codename for the G.I. Joe team's original sniper. Shooter was killed in action during the events of G.I. Joe: Declassified, which took place within the first issue of the Marvel Comics series.

It always bugged me that the Joes had a complete lack of African American women. Then to include one with a such kick butt specialty and kill her off so quickly, just totally sucked in my opinion.
