Tag-Vipers are mostly men that are not qualified to serve in the battlefield. But instead of becoming an ordinary "Paper pusher", they can enlist as a spy for Cobra. Those who graduates from training becomes one of Cobras many eyes and ears, as they are equipped with a silent air-compressed rifle with a long-range scope and utility-belts where many different high-technological projectiles is stored. The scope is wired to the special mask that has only one eye-hole while the other half is equipped with a miniature television-screen on the inside.
All a Tag-Viper has to do is to hide in a tall tree, load his rifle with a high sensitive microphone projectile that he silently fires at any target where it can pick up sounds. Then he just has to point the scope at the target-site, sit back and enjoy the show while his backpack equipment records everything. If anything interesting is exposed, the Tag-Viper can send the information directly to Cobra Island via the Cobra satellites, and then Cobra can work out a blackmail-operation. Thanks to the Cobra spy-satellites around the globe, the Tag-Vipers can tag a target with a tracking device, enabling him to catch up later if he needs to. Occasionally when Cobra wants somebody eliminated, a Tag-Viper can hit something as small as a mouse with a toxic dart at a distance of up to 400 meters, thanks to their tracking scopes.
It is not a well-paid job being a Tag-Viper; mostly they live on their contracted bonuses if they manage to dig up something useful. But there can be many times when they actually enjoy their work if they catch something very special that no-one was suppose to see. So if you are doing something illegal, stay away from the windows, because there might just be a Tag-Viper in the dark apartment on the other side of the street watching you.
Personal comments:
This character is mainly an experimental result when I tried to fit some pieces together. It was afterwards when it was time for some coloring that I figured out his function. He turned out neat if I may say so myself.
