Born in Chula Vista, California, his real name is Hector X. Delgado. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 16 after growing up near the San Diego Navy Yards. During his extensive military career he also became a Navy Seal and then joined the Joes. While serving with the Joes he became particularly close to Cover Girl.

Shipwreck is one of my favorite Joes and he is the Han Solo of the series.
