Risco was the code name for the Argentinian re-release of Alpine, file name Arthur 'Risco' Grey. I thought he would make for a cool unique character who can function as a member of Alpine's mountain infantry team along with Redmack and Sgt. Boulder. Visually I just wanted to make a figure that suggested all the details of Alpine without straight-up copying him. The head sort of looks like Fidel Castro, but that is just a fun visual coincidence.
