A modern battlefield requires constant communications between command and the units in the field. In order to achieve communications superiority COBRA has developed the CommB.A.T.. CommB.A.T.s are regular B.A.T.s that have been stripped down to their combat chassis and rebuilt with state of the are communications ans wireless equipment which gives every COBRA unit complete, real-time communications.

As effective as CommB.A.T.s are for communications, it is achieved by a loss of all offensive and defensive capabilities. In addition, the weight of of their extra equipment makes them quite a bit slower than regular B.A.T.s, making them easy targets.
