I was very impressed with the replacement of the original Cobra Commander in the IDW run. The Civil War and Cobra Command story arcs were some of the best Joe stories I have read and in my opinion some of the more realistic military stories to date. As I had made a Marvel Universe inspired line for my customs collection, I wanted a Krake inspired Cobra Commander to add to it.
Usually when a character gets replaced I tend to be worried about the transition, but I believe this was a progression for the better.
