"Military service changed me. It did not make me better or worse a man, it just made me view the world differently. I could be in an office or classroom somewhere but that would not be as satisfying as venturing into the world." - The Veteran

This figure is a fairly straight forward kit-bash with only a few custom or modified pieces. It is a representation of a modern era Adventure Team member. The figure was one of a few Hasbro produced in the early years of this millennium with "life-like" hair. I knew when I picked him up that he was destined to be an adventurer. The shirt was from a carded set and was ridiculously long. I had tried to make it look like a bush jacket with a belt but, without pockets, it never looked right. After finding the 5.11 style vest, I was finally able to make good use of the shirt. The straps on the MP5K and machete were made from grosgrain ribbon, dyed, and spare buckles. I made pencils from wooden toothpicks and aluminum foil, coloring them with Sharpie markers. At one time I thought Hasbro would be reviving the Adventure Team, but it never took off. Nevertheless, I have continued to use my own imagination to create new figures in this theme. I hope that you have enjoyed my salute to both Veterans and the Adventure Team.
