Accepted into the G.I. Joe "Greenshirt' program, Thomas Stall first saw action on a three-man team under Mirage's command. When Cobra engaged and injured a team-mate, Thomas panicked. His actions lead to the death of another soldier.

While awaiting court martial, a Cobra attack unintentionally freed him. Offered a place in Cobra, Thomas accepted.

Proving his usefulness to Cobra, he gained a place on Cobra Commander's new special ops team: The Plague.
