Head: 25th Bazooka
Body, legs and vest: Capt America Crossbones
Hands: 25th Mainframe
Fishing gear: Playmobil
This was one of the figures created for Battle Corps Month, my attempt to recreate the Battle Corps line from the '90s in ME format.
In 1993, Bazooka became a sports fisherman, or so his outfit would lead us to believe. According to his filecard, '' extensive travelling made Bazooka homesick and long for his favorite hobby: fishing.'' I guess he went straight from the lake into battle with this getup. Jokes aside, Bazooka embodies the wackiness of this era. He is about as far removed from realistic military as you can get. Yet, the figure has a certain charm.
Battle Corps Bazooka was the first figure I wanted to make when I tackled this project. Unfortunately, I looked through my ''big man'' Joe fodder and couldn't find the parts that worked. I went back and forth for a couple of weeks until I remembered that I had a spare Captain America Crossbones. When I snapped the Bazooka head on the body, everything clicked into place and Bazooka was born. Of course, I had to include some fishing gear.
