I'm a big fan of the early GI Joe and Cobra figures. They were they figures that I had as a kid and they best embody the GI Joe design philosophy of realistic military mixed with some future (and a bit wacky at times) technology. The early years were really like larger, more poseable little green army men.

This project started as an idea to bridge the gap between the creation of GI Joe and Cobra and the first missions that we know from the comics and cartoon. How did they start? What did they look like before 1982? Basically, this is my take on GI Joe and Cobra: The Early Years.
