Cobra Island security troopers are responsible for Terror Drome security, manning checkpoints, conducting perimeter sweeps and guarding and transporting prisoners. They also act as extra muscle for the Crimson Shadow Guard, Cobra's secret police.

Teams are often composed of seasoned Cobra veterans and raw recruits. For the veterans, the posting is seen as a "cushy" job for years of loyal service to Cobra. For recruits, it is used as a quick way of gaining experience and discipline.
