Figure: Custom Red Vulture
Frustrated with the lack of maneuverability, top speed, and firepower of the Shadowtrak, Red Vulture engaged the services of Red Laser to develop a new vehicle that could operate in any conditions and destroy any obstacle in its path. Armed with the blueprints of GI Joe's VAMP (which were stolen by Dela Eden), Red Vulture set to increase the horsepower, suspension, and maneuverability of the original design to rival any all-terrain vehicle, but with the power and handling of an Italian sports car. Red Laser brought his genius yet demented mind to add firepower. What was born was the Shadow Stryke, a lighter, faster version of the VAMP with a high powered laser cannon that can cut a Sherman Tank in half. Red Vulture likes his new invention so much he commented "After years of driving a Shadowtrak all I really had to look forward to every morning was killing SAS and Joes...now that I get to drive the Shadow Stryke it has brought back the thrill and exhilaration of the good old days when I sped around Paris after a heist. Plus I still get to kill SAS and Joes. My life is practically perfect!"
The Shadow Stryke was made from an original VAMP, parts from the Star Wars Darth Vader Play set (the one that had a seat with the grey arms to lower his helmet onto his head) and some repro stickers from Cobra Stickers for a Shadowtrak. I first repainted the top frame red and the hubcaps on the wheels of the base. Then I added the repro stickers. I then created the laser canon arm by dismantling the arm that raised and lowered Darth Vader's helmet and then using the actual piece in the base of it to make the cannon itself. I re-drilled the hole where the old gun turret went and plugged in my new arm and cannon. Some additional paint and I was done. The canon swivels at the base on the back of the vehicle as well as 360 degrees where it is attached at the top. The steering wheel was also created from the piece of the Vader play set that held the helmet.
