This was one of my early 25th Anniversary customs. The idea behind it came from a passage in Scrap Iron's original filecard: ''It is believed that Scrap Iron is a product designer for Destro's armaments company.'' Since that was written in 1984, Destro's company has come to be known as MARS and its military wing, the Iron Grenadiers. I thought it would be fun to give Scrap Iron a more Iron Grenadiers look, so I changed the colors from traditional Cobra blue to IG black and gold. I still like the concept very much, but it may be time to revist this custom with more modern parts.
