The Black Dragons were first introduced by the GI Joe Collector's Club in 2003. According to the fiction, the super-secret organization has existed for years and consists of highly-trained mercenaries, saboteurs, infiltrators and guns for hire. Hasbro picked up the idea and made the organization into a ninja clan that is a rival of the Arashikage.

For my version, I tried to integrate ideas from both fictions by keeping some of the tech, while also having strong ninja aspects.
