Throwback started as a Michael Jordan guest star custom and slowly morphed into the character here. As I worked on the custom I decided to make it an amalgam of several basketball stars that were famous when I was young. He's got the Dr. J afro, Kareem Abdul Jabar goggles, and an original pair of Air Jordans. And instead of a typical basketball jersey, I went with a custom "Property of GI Joe Basketball" jersey made with MSPaint and applied using my Xyron.

Throwback is one of the newest recruits to come to GI Joe through the US Army. A huge sports fan with a great attitude, he rarely lets anything get him down. You can always depend on Throwback to raise your spirits in the lounge or game room, but never challenge him to a quick pick up game on the basketball courts, that's when he gets serious.
