This backdrop is part of a commission project. I was tasked to take a photograph and re-create it as a custom figure, and as an added bonus, re-create the background of the photo for the custom.

I scanned the photo into my computer, and used Photoshop to create a clean portion of the sky for use as the stand background. I mounted the printout to a piece of thin plastic, which didn't work too well, as there was writing on it that came through when backlit. So I added the black construction paper as seen in the picture above.

I then cut, glued, sculpted and painted some pink insulation foam to look like the rocks as seen in the photo.
