Star Wars Geek 3D print Of baby Yoda

The kid painted up a Star Wars Geek 3D print of Baby Yoda aka The Child from The Mandalorian. She asked if I could make the floating bassinet pod thingy from the show for him stand or lay down in. Challenge accepted.

One of her Easter eggs was the obvious choice for a base, but I could not quite figure out how to do all the detail armor plating. At first I was going to sculpt it all on. Then I got overly ambitious and thought I could use styrene and make it so it could open and close. Then as I was mocking up paper templates I quickly realized how tricky all those curves were going to be. In the end, I used just used the paper templates and multiple layers of modge podge.

I took the pics and gave to her. Last I heard was her running down the hallway making spaceship sounds.
