Cosmos is one of the few Transformers that can achieve escape velocity and enter planetary orbit unaided. He is known to spend his time in orbit observing and reporting on Decepticon locations and movements. He finds his job boring and to break the monotony he will hover over unsuspecting homes and cars, reveling in the UFO sightings that he creates. It was one such sighting that brought him to the attention of the Joe team.
