After getting into the comic series as a kid, Clutch had become one of my favorite characters. It was a shame we only ever had a few ARAH versions of the character with no sign of him between '84 and '93. As prolific a character as he is to me, he needs more representation in my collection, which was the purpose of this custom.

I've made a few Clutch customs over the years, but most of them had been for various subsets like Mega Marines or the Battle Rangers. Since I already have an LBC version of the character added to my '86 Lineup, I decided to include this figure with my '88 assortment of figures. there, he can be found manning the Mean Dog with Wild Card, or co-piloting the Rolling Thunder.

You notice this figure uses some of the same parts as my earlier Sierra Unit figure. That earlier version of the figure was scrapped because of really bad paint wear on the lower half and upper half was repurposed into this.
