When the Crimson Guard figure first came out, he was the pinnacle of Cobra troops up to that point. The figure was red as opposed to the typical blue, he wore an upscale uniform with regalia and tall boots, he had a full facemask and not just a handkerchief wrapped around his face. He looked commanding and super cool.
When the Crimson Guard Immortal figure came out, he was a bit of a backslide. The figure looked clunky and a bit more...generic. He looked very much like the red robots from Disney's "The Black Hole" and that's not a good thing. And what the heck is a Crimson Guard IMMORTAL? And where the heck does the Immortal fall within the ranks of the Guard?
Having said all that, I got a free custom cast head of the Crimson Guard Immortal. I'm not one to waste a head, so I tried my best to recreate the figure using Marauders Task Force parts.
