Okay, I cannot overstate just how much I love G.I.Joe years '82-'84. The Joes from those years are indelibly ingrained in my childhood. Those toys are linked with lifelong happy memories. The sense of nostalgia they produce in me is palpable. The Joes from '82, '83, & '84 are intensely special to me.
Scrap Iron is no exception. I loved his missile system. I would break it down and put it together all the time. Even when I was young I appreciated that Scrappy wasn't a popular character or figure, but I thought he was great.
