Head: Custom Cast Part
Boot Fringe: BFS Barbarian Accessory
The Rest: Marauders Task Force Parts

As I've said many times in my write-ups, my favorite years of G.I.Joe are years 1983 and 1984. Those years are indelibly linked to fond memories of my childhood. The Joes of those years can do no wrong in my mind.
I remember one night at K-Mart when my dad was, for whatever reason, feeling very generous, and he bought me SEVEN Joes! Spirit was one of them. So he, along with Roadblock, Ripcord, Recondo, and others are forever tied to a great memory of my dad.
Not surprisingly Spirit is high on my list of favorite Joes, so I wanted my custom to be a good one.
There are several custom cast heads of Spirit (not to mention the "Billy" head of the 30th and 50th Hasbro Spirit figures), but my favorite Spirit custom head is the one presented in this figure. I also tried to color match his skin with the Marauders "tan" skin pieces. Before the Marauders light blue dress shirt came out, the more saturated light blue "Strato-Ops" figure came out. And at that time, the matching-colored rolled-up sleeve forearms hadn't been released. I decided to use red rolled-up sleeve forearms to make it look like Spirit was wearing a red undershirt underneath the light blue outer shirt. At first I used that Strato-Ops torso and the red sleeves as a placeholder, but when it came time to switch it out, I found I liked the brighter, more aqua blue torso better than the dress shirt and I also liked the idea of a red undershirt better, so I kept both.
I used reproduction stickers on his shirt sleeves from an online seller, bought some Boss Fight Studios Barbarian boot fringe and painted it white.
