The plot of both movies follow Snake Plissken in a dystopian future in which World War III has taken place. Snake Plissken is a former Special Forces war veteran of World War III. He is now considered a criminal. The movie focuses on his arrest and being forced to retrieve top-secret material from New York and Los Angeles. Both cities have been converted into maximum security prisons in this version of United States future.
