Truth be told, I have a very large blind spot when it comes to the Oktober Guard. I really only know them from their first appearance in Marvel's G.I. Joe #6 & 7. I am familiar with the core Marvel group of Colonel Brekhov, Shrage, Stormavik, Daina, & Horrorshow.
I have been doing some research into the Guard and I found out that new member Dragonsky joined in G.I. Joe Yearbook #2. I also learned that most of the original members died during the events of G.I. Joe: Special Missions #26. Only Daina and Dragonsky escaped with their lives.
Much later, the Oktober Guard showed up on the Joes' radar with a new lineup of Daina, Dragonsky, Lt. Gorky, and Misha.

I don't know WHERE the heck Big Bear and Red Star fit into all that
