Character:

Klunk was one of Doctor Scarab's Evil Minions of Destruction in the Bionic Six franchise. Here's the character is reworked as one of Dr. Mindbender's Minions of Destruction. The original LJN figure/DiC Cartoon presented Klunk has a melting mass of cottage chess-like flesh. Here I've reworked that to appear that Klunk still wears a failed biohazard suit as his body mutates, probably due to being exposed to some of Dr. Mindbender's lab mishaps. Given the "meltyness" of the character design, I've never understood why the harsh sounding name "Klunk" was used, instead of something more fluid sounding, like "Sluss". Just a thought.

Most of "Dr. Scarab's Evil Minions of Destruction" are now just Dr. Mindbender's lab team, the Minions of Destruction. Chopper has been and Mechanic will be imported as Dreadnoks, where they thematically fit better.

Design:

Very, very loosely based on the LJN figure. The LJN figure was mostly nude, with its underwear miraculously intact. Here I've kept most of the biohazard suit, with the mutation trapped inside of it. The head is obviously mutated. The head and hand have also mutated and swollen to the point of busting out of the suit.

The mutated foot is reversed from the LJN figure because I was working with a damaged figure.

Colors & Paints:

The uniform is blue based on the blue underwear of the LJN figure, but darkened for more contrast against the flesh. The exposed flesh parts are flesh, with yellow eyes/fingernails/toenails. I stuck with LJN figure's greyish oatmeal color for the flesh.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The head is upside down, with a face sculpted below the eyes on what was the forehead. But most of it was covered with poppy seeds to get the cottage cheese effect, which is also on the exposed hand and toes.

The arms were bulked up for better proportions, even if the idea here is that Klunk is mutating and his hand and foot busted through his chemical suit. The torso below the beltline is epoxy sculpted.

Thanks for looking.
