Quickfire

Action Force

Character:

Quickfire was one of the early Action Force characters, one of the SAS team.

Design:

The parts roughly approximate the original design of Palitoy's Quickfire, with the knit cap and ammo belt being the most important parts.

Colors & Paints:

The Palitoy figure was black with some grey spray patterning on it. I've switched Quickfire into a charcoal uniform, plus black accoutrements. This helps keeps him distinct from Eagle. But it pushes him into Low Light territory. To change Quickfire's colors from Low Light just a bit, the knit cap is grey and the hands are painted as skin instead of gloves.

The charcoal knit cap also allows contrast with his black hair. The stubble helps disguise Tomax's face.

The blue tinge to the bullet band also helps give Quickfire a unique color set.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The top of the head was removed and replaced with the push-mold knit cap. The neck wrap under the shirt is sculpted. The shoulder/elbow rivets and thigh screw insets are epoxied smooth.
