Over the years, as the Crimson Guard has evolved from a small elite unit to a full sized elite branch of Cobra, ranks have developed within the Guard. These ranks are depicted not by uniform, or insignia, but by a combination of experience in Cobra and power in the business world. Since it's inception, the Crimson Guard has gone through several different uniform designs, leading to Guardsmen wearing numerous, albeit similar uniforms ranging in appearance from almost-military to armor to kevlar business suits.

From both uniform and actions on the battlefield, it is assumed that Crimson Guardsmen wearing this almost business suit like uniform are most likely the highest ranking Guardsmen under Overlord and Vypra, possibly the equivilent of U.S. Military Colonels and Lieutenant Colonels.
