Customizer's Comments: First, physically there's nothing new about Shooter, the changes are in a better paintjob.
Second, Yes, I realize the bio is inacurate compared to the actual military, but so are women in combat (at least for the moment) so the Joe team as a whole has been inacurate from day one and Scarlett.

Codename: Shooter
Filename: Thompson, Richard V.
Primary Military Specialty: Sniper
Secondary Military Specialty: Chaplain
Rank: O-1
Birthplace: Memphis, Tennessee

Bio: Most Chaplains in the military refuse to pick up a weapon, Shooter finds that thought confusing; he can't figure out how they can be willing to bless something they won't do themselves.

Shooter was the G.I. Joe team's first sniper in the early eighties and also an important part of the unit's cover during the early days at the Fort Wadsworth Chaplain's Assistants' Motor Pool. When General Flagg I, General Austin, and Colonel Wesley Magnus, codename: "Buzzard" started the Steel Brigade program, a unit to hold prospective Joe team members until the team itself was able to, Shooter was transferred from the Joe team to Steel Brigade to both lead one of the squads and to show the Steel Brigadiers what made a Joe.

When the team was reinstated, Shooter quickly volunteered to rejoin the team, but so far has had some trouble adapting to the changes that those he served with in the eighties have undergone.

"A lot of people, they learn what Shooter's Primary MOS is and what his Secondary MOS is, their first reaction is that the Geneva Convention prohibits Chaplains and Medics from firing weapons. I only have two things to say about that; one: as Shooter says, 'Geneva says a chaplain can't shoot, doesn't say a sniper can't preach.' And second is this: If we applied the Geneva Treaty to scum like Cobra, we'd be giviing them exactly what they want, we'd be giving them power instead of treating them like the combat-weaponry wielding schoolyard bullies they are....
Funny thing about schoolyard bullies, once you stand up to them and show them that they can't terrorize you any more, they're nothing more than oversized bags of hot air....." -- Major J.T. Magnus, codename: "Turbo"
